In Iowa, a teenager was killed and five were injured when fireworks thrown from their sport utility vehicle blew back into the vehicle, causing a fire and a crash
Hahahah.. that's the most fun ever!!!!
Of injuries caused by fireworks: 70 to 75% occur during a 30-day period surrounding July 4 (June 23– July 23) Seven out of 100 persons injured require hospitalization. Males are three times more likely than females to be injured Boys between the ages of 10 and 14 have the highest rates of injury Common injuries are to the hands (34%), face (12%), and eyes (17%).
Maybe when the can blows, a chunk of it will land in your eye, that would be a blast. whoohooo!!!
Maybe you could load up your remote control truck and then have it blow up just as it's flying over a garage. LOL.
Boredom can create some very ingenious ways to make excitement. I remember, being around 8 years old, going to the grammar school parking lot where they still had the rides and the various teddy bear winning arenas to look for unblown fireworks. It was always very hot. So there weren't many people around. I'd find a coupla dozen short fused firecrackers and find an unfinished punk with which I'd get them all to go off one way or another. Being 8 years old with no-one watching was fun. I'm glad I didn't get too creative with the fireworks - I wudda been one of the above statistics. As I grew older, I discovered from whom to buy the various M-80's and Cherry Bombs. I did that stuff a long time ago. It was because I didn't have anyone to play music with or baseball. I wasn't much good at baseball anyway. I joined little league and quit in a few weeks after I couldn't get on base in 5 games. Oh well, I guess I cudda become a spectator. I practised the piano instead. I found other players with whom I did find gigs and money. That did fill the time in a better way - for me. I bought a GTO when I was 18 years old. Good, Bad, who knows...
I thought that my neighborhood was pretty dull this year, so I made pipe bombs with 1 1/4" galvanized pipe and black powder.
Probably about 1/3 cup black powder in each, with an equal amount of free airspace inside the pipe. And threaded pipe caps on the end, for closure. I added band iron to give the caps added retention so that the side walls would be the first to burst, this add on made them MUCH louder
