I don't "get sick"... I have allergic reactions from time to time.. and I have disabilities resulting from the mileage on my body, but colds.. flus.. etc, don't get them
Pretty much.. I get maybe one cold every couple of years. Same with the flu, haven't had it in longer than I can remember. I actually think the other problems I have with my health are somehow a benefit in a way in that whatever my system is doing to battle my arterial condition is leaving lots of good stuff in my blood to ward off minor illnesses like colds and flu.
Like that Simpsons episode where Mr Burns gets a checkup and the doctor tells him he's okay. Burns says he must be in perfect health and the doctors says oh no, you have several maladies, any one of which can kill you. But all of them together are fighting each other to get to you so you're okay.
I seldom get sick... usually when I do it is because my immune system has become vulnerable because of too much riding the bike and not enough rest/sleep. I find that aside from rest, eating lots of fruits, veggies and taking multivitamins keep illness at bay.
I read that honey is good for colds -- in a study they had some people take 4 tablespoons per day and on average those people recovered faster. I had some when I had my cold, but of course who knows how quickly I would've recovered without it.
That sounds fair to me. I think it's better to have an administrator to take care of stuff like this. Remember when we were inundated with personal photos when the magazine staff had to handle it? It certainly disrupted the forum. It took some work to get that to stop. It actually was fun to get the weird action from the outside. But, some rules that we all agree with are OK. Keep up the good work Cng.
