Yeah, I noticed that Ron Paul is sticking to his original message. This seems to be a mixed bag of who supports it and who doesn't. I can understand why those who have patents and copyrights would like it. The piracy part is real and I see the point. The control of the Internet by anyone is the part I'm against. I think this will be the main topic in the election.
There's not that much of a difference in what we talk about. I think there's been one technical problem with supra28's memory. The rest has been general discussion. I wonder how CPU is doing these days. There were certainly more newbies with tech questions back in the day.
BTW, Dotcom sings in that video linked to above. I like their jingle... its got a nice melody/harmony. M-E-G-A upload to me today... send me a file... megaupload... mega... load... load...
Hear, hear! I see no reason to pay our lawmakers extra money to please some group. They get a decent wage. I understand making them aware of a position that may be popular (or unpopular) so they'd see all points of view. But, since the lobbyists are bringing in money to push a particular message, why do we allow for the secrecy part? Is there something to hide here? Lobbyists buy the votes they want. Money makes it a corrupt practice.
