I totally disagree, I think this is going to be a good thing for the industry and country as a whole. We need more regulations everywhere, not less. The government knows what it's doing -- protecting and benefiting us. And by "us" I mean the lower/middle classes, not the rich. That's what it's good at.
The only people who don't like regulations, etc., are:
1) Conspiracy theorists, and 2) Those who want to do bad things at everyone else's expense.
