I remember reading the allegations a couple weeks ago, but then never really followed up. Then today I heard he (the voice of Elmo, Kevin Clash) resigned, so I Wikipedia'd and found out that he just confirmed that he's gay.
I also did some Googling and he apparently said he never tried to hide the fact that he was gay, but I never knew it.
