I think the video is right on the money (no pun intended), but barring a revolution, the status quo won't change.

Statistics like this provide the fuel for movements like the meagre "occupy movement" that we saw a few years ago. That movement created just enough airtime for a few people to open their eyes, but that's about it. Absolutely nothing came out of it.

I'd argue that the "1%" described in the video have more power in America than any dictator could ever have in any third world country. That's why nothing ever changes. That's why they have more money today than ever before. They run the country, everyone else is just along for the ride.
