accessing an unshared network resource.
So just out of curiosity, .... I have a hard enough time successfully accessing files on one computer from another ..even when setting it all up through "shares" legitimately.
With all the warnings about evil haxors accessing my computer through "unsecured networks" (wireless), just exactly how do such evil entities even see my drive, which has no "shares" SET UP WHATSOEVER?

Wireless networks that aren't under my control or under the control of someone I know and not password protected freak me out. Not only am I afraid of some hacker breaking into my device somehow, there's also the issue of any data sent over a non-secure connection/protocol being visible for anyone within range to see if they had the inclination.
Perhaps just better to dodge the bullet entirely?
