Do athiests/evolutionists rely just as much on faith as Christians?
Considering the fact that their theory for how we came about seems to basically be "in the beginning there was nothing which exploded", which makes about as much sense as "in the beginning God created the heavens and the earth". Actually, the latter makes more sense overall to me, even though it doesn't answer the question of how God came to exist.
Also, when scientists haven't even been able to figure out a cure for cancer yet or what even causes it, how are we supposed to believe their theories about all this stuff that happened thousands, millions, or even billions of years ago?

Can the universe begin out of nothing? No.
Is it possible that the universe is cyclical? ie: It contracts upon itself, then explodes back outward again -- almost like hitting the "reset" button. To me, that explanation is more believable.
Just as the grass is green and the sky is blue, the Word of God and Jesus Christ Himself are completely unchanging. Faith is not an end unto itself either but trust in someone or something. To speak of Christian faith means that someone trusts Christ and that ability to even have faith comes from Him.
In the beginning, GOD created the heavens and the earth.
IMHO, atheism and religion are one and the same but at the opposite ends of the spectrum. I don't think anything is as simple as black nor white. I do believe we should respect nature as it nurtures us. The funny thing with most religions is that they appear to turn a blind eye towards the rape and plunder of the earth's natural resources, which, in the long run will lead to our undoing.
