True... but the properties are different depending on the temperature of the chair, you, and the air. The warmer any of those are, the stickier; the cooler, the slipperier.
Even when it's warm though it tends to be cold at least when you first touch it.
One nice thing about leather seating though is it can often be used to make some good fart noises compared to cloth seating.
