  • It's impressive how animal-like it is. Like, that's almost exactly how you would envision a dog or a deer regaining its balance (and then repositioning its legs at the very end) if pushed from the side with that kind of force.

    I don't really know anything about robotics, but I wonder if they purposely modeled the response to that situation after four-legged animals, or if the system itself is automatically doing it because it's smart enough to realize that's the ideal way of it responding in order to keep its balance.

  • Yeah it walks and balances itself just like a four legged animal. I can see why they are developing this... As a mechanical mule that can carry loads over terrain where wheeled or even tracked vehicles will have difficulty navigating. Probably will see action as some sort of uber soldier in the future.
