Seen it a ton of times when I worked in IT, mostly on laptops since they had the LCD screens at the time. Desktops were still using CRT's at the time. Inverter board dieing, start saving for a new monitor
The Insignia I bought is a HDTV, using it as a monitor, I see no difference in the screens, thing is it's HD when playing HD content but when used with the PC it's running at 1600 x 990
I hooked up my computer to my TV for the hell of it, but there's no way I'd do it again for anything other than watching video (which isn't necessary most of the time) - text looks awful... way too blurry (which is what I was expecting).
