Your suggestion that the old war movie I was searching for might be "Hell is for Heroes" was on the money. I ordered it from Amazon, and was surprised just how many memories I had from that movie (the guy rigging up the jeep to backfire like a tank, and the "Apple/cobbler" password sequence). Really a trip down memory lane

The really cool thing about Amazon (first time I had used it) Is the ability to locate "out of print" titles, both books and movies.

I had exhausted all the brick and mortar possibilities, and finally had a "well duH" epiphany moment on amazon. Seems like there is a plethora of pack rats anxious to cash in on nostalgia
