iggy, you make it sound like you were actually there or have all the facts. So far, until the end results are known, none of us no what happened one way or the other. Besides, I think the uproar should have been just as great for the men who were sh…

I would have to say, now that I own an Acer W500 with Win8CP on it, tablets are definitely useful. (Not just glorified toys.) Geno, will it let you upgrade the OS and if so, what to?

I would say less thank 100 Watts most of the time.
-
Let see, that is either a AMD 8100 series or a Intel Quadcore with hyerthreading. (Either that or a dual processor board.)

Shut up about the s**w. []

I did not skip Vista at all. Admittedly, I had to get used to it and what UAC was all about, but once I did that, I found it ran much faster than XP on the same hardware. Once I went to 4GB of ram in my desktop and laptop in 2008, I then neeeded to …

I believe I have this one right here: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16842101491 A little over 5 years ago, I was not using any ups. Then this happened: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q3KF7dVXYoE Well, the computer went on, off…

LOL! [][:)][]

It was the best bed I had ever owned. However, I have not lived in a place were I can use one for at least 17 years.

Good choice. If I were you, I would keep in mind an upgrade to 8GB of ram in the future. I think it would help for the type of work you do. (Maybe pick up 2 x 2GB of ram since you have 2 slots available.)
-
Ummmmm, time to buy a new pair? [] I see a bunch of numbers but that is about it.

I am going to say what I think Geno might be thinking as well, just shut up and buy it.[;)](If you can afford to that is.) I have my own laptop and external lcd at work and actually prefer it that way. I just like having my own tools which is why I …

That would not be possible or even desirable. However, the AMD card should have dual outputs on it.
-
Cng, that looks like a good deal to me. Even if it is little more in Canada, it would still be worth it.
-
Well, a hard drive and ram upgrade would help. However, you need to know your way around the inside to do that. (I figure it would cost less than $200 as well.)

Techguy, sounds to me like you have the pagefile turned off or set to a limited size. Either that, or you are running out of hard drive space. Geno, the default config for that machine is 2GB of ram according to what I found online. As far as SP ins…

Techguy, Vista will work just fine on that machine. With 2GB of ram that it has and a fully updated Vista installation, it should run quite smoothly. Personally, I only run XP in a virtual machine now although XP can still be useful on older hardwar…

Ryan, thanks. [] You are correct, I to love it and have just finished assembling it. Far more space than my old, but still good Centurion 5.
-
The all black one was good for me. As far as the external drive bays go, even one is enough since I only have a one bluray drive anyways. Personally I like the idea of quietness and lots of space to fit my 2 x HD 6950's. :)

Yeah, magazines are becoming more and more just ads for companys. However, I do enjoy Running Times which has some great articles. However, as far as I am concerned, once the original editor of CPU Mag left, the mag went down hill from there. (No of…

Well, I seem to have issues getting to N3 sleep because of my overactive bladder. Needless to say, that can occasionally make for a difficult day or race. [:knockout:] Good to see you are feeling better Iggy.
-
Not here Techguy, I have changed my diet over the last few years. Also, I run a bit and do so competitively. I will admit, if I had continued eating what I was eating all the time, I would have eventually ended up in trouble. In Iggy's case, it mig…

Hope it all goes well. I recommend taking up running once you can, it does help.

Strange, when I press Ctrl T, the new tab comes up instantly. How much ram do you have, what type of harddrive are you running and is anything running heavily in the background? Also, the aero desktop runs much faster than the old vista basic look a…

Also, I would suggest using windows live mail if possible. You can directly import into that from an OE storage folder.

You did not tell me where you are. I am asking because my folks live in Florida year round in Bellview near Ocala.

Where are you now in Florida, what town?
