I was out running on Sunday afternoon and saw some one day olds as well. (Well, they still looked like they had the green stuff.) The only thing I would prefer is that they would stop crapping all over the place. (What a mess.)
Usually I'm not a big fan of digital (enhanced) zoom. But I was playing around one day on max zoom, and got this fire alarm bell on the side of a nearby building. And much to my surprise the manufacturers plate was readable in the exposure.
Equivalent to reading a standard typewriter font on the front of your neighbor's house, across the street
only 6.1 megapixels..."enough" probably, for the limited needs I'm likely to have.
The cpu in this thing is so slow that my fastest turn around time frame to frame is about 5 seconds, it takes that long for the previous exposure to be processed. Thankfully I can be sighting the next exposure through the viewer while this is going on, but it's a good 5 sec before the actual shutter button is again able to trigger a new shot.
I've been thinking. While the L120 seems like the perfect camera for the price, it has one thing going against it for me: size.
I don't like carrying bags or anything like that around, and I think if I were to spend the money on a camera, I'd want one that could fit in my pocket so I could have it with me at all times if I wanted, without it being a burden.
There are some nicer pocket-sized cameras out there with 16x optical zoom, which is cool.

I just run on by and they leave me alone.
I mean the 4 that I photoed, were as bright as a neon green tennis ball, fluorescent almost. But most of that isn't even apparent in the picture.
I wonder if the Jpeg compression is responsible?
Seems like I recall difficulty capturing it with film cameras though too, so it might be a lighting issue
