Even if the numbers were legible it wouldn't matter because you're unlikely to get the exact same fit and feel from pants manufactured in different lots. Given that Lee jeans are made by mills all across India, it's impossible to insure that they will all be exactly the same. I live in "pocket tees" and when I buy 10 shirts at a time of various colors, most fit just right but there's always one or two that seem tighter or clingy, and even thought they are all supposed to be 100% cotton, some stretch out or rebound more than others. Fabric is funny like that.
