I think the deciding factor is it's illegal to sleep in your car overnight, unless you're parked on private property, and no, store parking lots are not private property.
That said, Ive gone to a number of "Boomer" parties in other States to meet, party and drink with other Baby Boomer online friends, and I've often just slept in my pickup parked in the hotel parking lot. I'd use one of my friends room for a shower and such in the morning. It was fine because it's a pickup with a camper top with screened windows and curtains, so there was privacy.
BTW, I tried bidding on Priceline the other day, my bid wasn't accepted, so I tried again yesterday with a higher price (you have to wait 24 hours between bids unless you change the search area), and it also wasn't accepted. I'll probably try again at some point in the next few days... hopefully I won't have to end up raising the bid a ton before they accept it.
