You won't know it when China just comes over and buys Ohio. If we keep borrowing money to pay for our 'cheap' Walmart purchases, they'll be coming over to collect one day. Why should they just let our debt grow? Well they don't havta. It's international money shuffling - of course it's not your problem personally.
As the money continues to move off-shore, the off-shore guys will become richer. This is just a matter of time. If we don't manufacture anything that others will buy, they wont want to trade with us. This will be when they just come over and have Congress turn over the Eastern Seaboard or all of Hollywood - complete with lighting stands and gaffers. Money is international. It buys oil from the Saudis - until we can't afford it because we don't have jobs that make the money.
I guess we have wars when we can't agree on how to exchange the value that has been traded. Then, we exchange bullets or nukes. Wow! What fun.
