I guess it has to be coupled with other, perhaps circumstantial, evidence?
For instance, if I had been identified as "a person of interest" in the case, and had claimed while questioned that I had never even heard of the victim, much less ever been in her presence, only then to have my deposit found.
But even so, all that would do is prove I was presidential material (I never had s*x with that woman), and NOT that I had killed her (nor inhaled)
If you are trying to frame someone for a crime that will put him in jail, either you know how to do it effectively, or you get someone to help you. Of course, your helper could be your blackmailer in the future. You've got to be pretty motivated to mess with your victim to this degree.
I think the technology is there - maybe you need to be in the CIA to get hold of it.
We humans can do a lot of things to prove our innocence. Many of us commit crimes in very clever ways. Whoopie for us.
And a very good reason indeed! Killing someone is irreversible. Governments and their courts make mistakes, especially when they are absolutely sure they know the "Truth".
All "facts" start with the assumption we are aware of everything that is real. Since that assumption is provably false, in "reality" there are no indisputable facts.
