What would it take to add a link on the index page so we canskip directly to the 2nd, 3rd, etc pages instead of having to scroll through the first page to see the second? I know, it's a petty gripe, but almost all other forum software has hat feature.
Cng, I don't get the distinction between Computer Help and Computer Talk. Both are talking about computer-related stuff. The General Discussion covers the rest of the subjects. At the old CPUmag, I would always check the Hardware and Software sections first to see if I knew anything about the current crop of problems. Then, I'd head over to the General Discussion to see if you, Techguy or MeanBeam were up to anything.
What's missing is that the noobs aren't there. We've got to put out something on YouTube or somewhere like Facebook that will steer the newcomers here. The site can be tweaked till the cows come home - I'm sure it will - you seem to be liking it. The main diff is that the old CPU was always unpredictable.
I think we'll come up with better names over time. There's no hurry. I just hope we stay happnin' until Google figures us out. This is all working for me. But, there aren't any challenges or puzzles to work out.
For Example: My kid is writing a story for the first D & D session with his high school friends. Have any of you played Dungeons and Dragons? Do you remember any particular events in the story that made it interesting or clever? He's got the version 4 book set and is trying to come up with a good story. He's never been the dungeon master and is a bit nervous about being a master of ceremonies. Any advice?
Wow, you wouldn't, by any chance, know Al Gore. But, if you really did, is there a list of common mistakes a new dungeon master makes? Are there stories that have been fun that can be lifted from some website?
Can he invite some known, famous Dungeon Master to show up? We are close to Yosemite Park and would put him up. There might be enough players out here to have him visit the school and give a talk maybe. I'm not sure if a public high school would get in trouble promoting a game that is associated with the Devil.
It may put Mariposa.CA on the map. It would advertise this forum.

I'm leftward leaning.
