This is the time I remember the chill of Chicago. I remember making myself the promise of getting out of this cold environment. I moved out to California in 1969 - around the time that hippies were becoming an item. I never looked back. It does get down to freezing a few days a year out here. But it warms up to around 60F most days around noon. I do my walk in the morning and break a sweat pretty much every day. I like the freedom of not needing snow tires or chains. I don't miss shoveling the snow in the least bit. Not much salt needed for the roads. So the lower body panels of the car stay intact...
Proof those snowflakes are derived from asterisks as I mentioned in the other thread... as I was creating the Flacco thread, I originally titled it "Joe Flacco's plan", but decided to get rid of the Joe, so I double clicked it and ended up highlighting one of the snowflakes.
So this is entertaining? Watching people break each others bones on stage? I must have missed something over the years. It doesn't appeal to me. It looks like burlesque without the girls.
I've been saying for a long time that I see this country as being much more violent than any other that I've checked out. This includes Iran, Mexico, most of South America, Afghanistan, Pakistan, China, and Russia. The people don't carry guns, they don't try to take your money, they don't care so much about winning every game, etc. Most people aren't so uptight in their own world that they need to vent the hostility.
Football starts in grammar school and goes thru college(as do all the other sports) baseball, basketball, soccer, lacrosse, etc. We learn that the only thing worth pursuing is winning and staying alive. Video games continue that way of life.
I don't know. I think life is a little less of a battle. We just get so much of the violence in our lives and on TV. Violence seems to sell the ads.

Then again, that is something that most people would probably keep private...
